Spring into Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's Easter holiday programme

The venue's latest exhibition, Beyond the Canvas - A Celebration of British Sculpture from The Ingram Collection, has inspired the holiday programme of craft workshops and fun activities, which runs from Saturday 12 April to Saturday 26 April.
Throughout the holiday fortnight, visitors can join a free collaborative project to create a giant sculpture in the venue's activity space, with a host of resources available to keep creative minds busy.
The Easter holiday programme also includes a free treasure hunt, challenging visitors to find all the pieces of a missing sculpture which have been hidden throughout the building.
Children can take part in wet felting workshops on Tuesday 15 April, experiencing the soothing and tactile process of soaking wool fibres in soap and water to create a felt-like, decorative fabric.
Workshops, suitable for six-year-olds and over, run from 10am to 11am, 11.15am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 3pm, with places priced £2.50 per child.
Pottery workshops take place on Wednesday 16 April, where 12-year-olds and over can make a pinch or coiled pot in a relaxing, motivating atmosphere.
Pots can be taken home for painting at the end of the workshops, which run from 10am to 11am, 11.15am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 3pm. Places cost £5 per child.
Children can turn junk into model masterpieces at workshops taking place on Tuesday 22 April, working with a range of recycled materials to design and build a unique monochrome sculpture.
Workshops, suitable for eight-year-olds and over, run from 10am to 11am, 11.15am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 3pm, with places priced £3.50 per child.
Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's Easter holiday programme also includes workshops where children can craft sculptures from colourful, scented dough, a sensory experience which challenges youngsters to mould, shape and decorate a sculpture to take home.
The sensory dough sculpture workshops, suitable for two to six-year-olds, take place from 10am to 11am, 11.15am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 3pm. Places cost £2.50 per child.
And on Monday 14 April the venue hosts a special Relaxed Hour session for neurodivergent visitors and visitors with sensory needs.
The Big Sculpture/Little Sculpture Relaxed Hour runs from 10.30am to 11.30am and allows visitors to explore the Beyond the Canvas exhibition in a calm, relaxing environment while also contributing to the giant collaborative sculpture in the activity space.
Relaxed Hour visitors can also make a small sculpture at the session to take home.
Phoebe Hilton, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum's senior learning and engagement officer, said: "We're looking forward to launching our Easter holiday programme, which takes inspiration from the Beyond the Canvas exhibition and encourages children to create, learn, enjoy and discover.
"With limited places available at each workshop, it's best to book early to avoid disappointment, but we'll be a hive of activity throughout the holiday so everyone's welcome to drop in and explore our exhibitions and activities."
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all workshops and activities.
Places at workshops can be booked by calling Rugby Visitor Centre on (01788) 533217 or online at www.ragm.co.uk/holidayfun
