Rugby in Bloom supports our entry to the national Britain in Bloom campaign and encourages our communities to brighten up the borough with floral displays.

Rugby in Bloom 2023 webGreen-fingered gardeners across Rugby helped us strike gold at the Heart of England in Bloom awards in 2022 winning the small city category.

For 2023, Rugby in Bloom celebrates the bicentenary of the birth rugby football, the 200th anniversary of William Webb Ellis picking up the ball and running with it during a game of football at Rugby School.

We want the birthplace of the game to bloom for the bicentenary, with special prizes on offer for floral displays inspired by the sport.

We are delighted that, in October 2023, we were once again awarded gold at the Heart of England in Bloom awards.
