Domestic abuse includes physical, emotional, psychological, sexual and economic abuse, as well as controlling or coercive behaviour. Children who see, hear, or experience the effects of domestic abuse are also considered victims under Domestic Abuse Act 2021. If you or someone you know is affected, help is available.

If you’re feeling unsafe, Rugby has a few Safe Places – including the Town Hall – where you can go for support in a safe and welcoming environment. These Safe Places, which also include libraries, community centres, and selected businesses, are dedicated to helping those in need.
The Town Hall is one of the key locations where you can find support and guidance in a welcoming and safe space.
