Fencing should be installed underneath the bridge on the Great Central Way on Wednesday (16 October), ahead of the inspection work which looks set to start at the end of November and take up to a fortnight to complete.

During the inspection work, pedestrian and traffic measures on Clifton Road and the Great Central Way aim to minimise disruption to the public, with access maintained for both pedestrians and motorists.

A spokesperson for Rugby Borough Council said: "The council operates a cyclical inspection and maintenance programme for the bridges over the Great Central Way in the borough, which were built around 125 years ago.

"While we aim to keep disruption to a minimum during the inspection, we ask for the public's patience and understanding while this important work takes place."
