#Knifefreerugby campaign aims to highlight the consequences of a carrying a knife and to inspire young Rugby people to pursue positive alternatives. Reporting a young person carrying a knife before they get themselves or others hurt is the kindest thing you can do for them, a leading figure in the fight against knife crime for Warwickshire Police has said.
It is vitally important that we help young people understand the dangers associated with carrying a knife. A knife won’t protect you; it doesn’t give you status.
Carrying a knife doesn’t solve anything in fact all it does is increase the likelihood that you will be seriously injured or worse.
We encourage and support the public to surrender their dangerous weapons in order to clear the streets of violent and aggressive behaviour.

Anti-Violence Bee in Rugby
The Anti-Violence Bee is the first UK sculpture to be made entirely of weapons - knives and guns. The Bee is touring Rugby in locations throughout Rugby over August. The Bee joins us as we launch #KnifeFreeRugby, to raise awareness that serious violence will not be tolerated in our communities.We encourage and support the public to surrender their dangerous weapons in order to clear the streets of violent and aggressive behaviour.

Op Talkative
Op Talkative is a Police initiative asking for our community to share more information about anyone they know or hear about carrying or having possession of a knife. Increase in this information is vital to enable not only the police, but the full range of community safety partners to consider options to prevent and divert individuals risking their own and others safety in Warwickshire.

Know someone who carries a weapon? Please help us tackle serious street based violence and report it to the police or by calling 101.
