Under the Food Information Regulations 2014, businesses must clearly identify allergens contained in food sold or provided to the public.

The regulations cover 14 allergens: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya and sulphur dioxide.
